All Primary classes are using the poetry text 'The Lost Words' in our English and Art classes for the next four weeks, as part of our Curriculum Project. Both Year 1 classes launched the project with a scavenger hunt to find the keywords from the text. In Art, the children experimented with using watercolours to recreate some of the beautiful illustrations in the text. In English, the children engaged with the keywords and illustrations from the text, selecting their favourite object and writing a sentence: 'I like the ......'. We focused on the poem 'Bramble', and used this for a drama based session, performing the action words from the poem. ... See MoreSee Less
