The British School of Málaga (BSM) celebrated its inaugural Grandparents' Week this March, marking a significant milestone in the school's community engagement efforts. This special week was dedicated to honouring the invaluable contributions of grandparents to the lives of their grandchildren and the school community.

Early Years students to Year 6 welcomed their grandparents to classroom visits where they could observe and participate in lessons, storytelling sessions where they shared their experiences, and art and craft workshops that encouraged creative collaboration between generations.

One of the highlights of the week was a special assembly, where students performed songs, dances and recitations dedicated to their grandparents. This event brought tears of joy and pride as grandparents witnessed their grandchildren's talents and hard work.

The week also featured a Grandparents' Tea, a delightful gathering where grandparents and students enjoyed refreshments together, shared stories and created lasting memories. This event provided a wonderful opportunity for grandparents to meet their grandchildren's friends and teachers, and to feel more connected to the school community.

Overall, the first Grandparents' Week at BSM was a resounding success, celebrating family, love and the invaluable contributions of grandparents. It strengthened the bonds between generations and highlighted the supportive and inclusive environment that BSM strives to maintain.
