As a British international school, at The British School of Malaga we follow the British Curriculum adapted to the context in which we find ourselves. Our curriculum is carefully structured in educational stages which correspond to the different stages of student development: Early Years, Primary, Secondary and Sixth Form.
Early Years
De 3 a 5 años
We are committed to total linguistic immersion in English. Our Early Years program follows the guidelines of the British Early Years Foundation Stage framework and focuses on play, exploration and creative expression. Young children learn naturally and spontaneously, developing their English language skills while growing emotionally and socially in a safe and nurturing environment.
Primary School
De 5 a 11 años
Primary stage offers a solid and balanced education that includes key subjects such as Mathematics, Science, English, History, Geography, Art, Physical Education and Music. English continues to be the main language of instruction, although we also incorporate Spanish as an additional language to ensure bilingual competence. Methodologies are adapted to the individual needs of each student, promoting both collaborative work and personal responsibility.
Secondary School (IGCSE)
De 11 a 15 años
Students take subjects such as Mathematics, Science, English, Spanish Language, Humanities, Technology and more, choosing according to their interests and strengths. This system allows them to personalize their learning and effectively prepare for future studies in Sixth Form and university. The school's international environment, coupled with rigorous and personalized teaching, provides them with a solid academic foundation and life skills.
Sixth Form - A Levels
De 16 a 18 años
At this stage, students choose from a wide range of specialized subjects that allow them to study in depth those areas they wish to study at university. Thanks to this flexibility and the quality of the program, our students successfully enter universities in both the UK and Spain, as well as prestigious international institutions.
