The British School of Málaga announces the launch of its exciting Multilingual Vision designed to reflect the ever-changing student profile and advancements in education. This initiative celebrates the diversity of learners while equipping staff with the tools to better support language acquisition for multilingual (ML) students.

To embed this vision, all teaching staff have engaged in extensive training focused on strategies for supporting ML learners and exploring innovative methodologies such as translanguaging. These approaches encourage students to draw on their full linguistic repertoire to enhance learning and engagement.

To cap off a productive term, a recent Wednesday staff learning session was dedicated to showcasing the incredible work being done. The session began with the Primary team sharing their strategies and successes with the Secondary team followed by a role reversal where Secondary teachers shared their expertise. This exchange sparked rich conversations and strengthened cross-phase collaboration.

The event was an inspiring opportunity for teachers to reflect on their achievements, celebrate their progress and explore new ways to support one another in meeting the needs of multilingual learners. Together, they are building a vibrant, inclusive and supportive learning environment for all.
